John Young General Manager, "New Business Initiative", Slipgate Ironworks
John Young is General Manager of a new business initiative to be launched by Slipgate Ironworks, a San Francisco Bay Area company in production on a new MMO. He was previously SVP of Business Development at Gala-Net, a leading free-to-play publisher that operates five Korean games for the Western markets. Previously, he ran business development in North America and Asia for Massive Incorporated, bringing in-game advertising revenues to developers and publisher from the launch of the network through the eventual acquisition by Microsoft. John has also held positions in gaming with Electronic Arts, in advertising with J. Walter Thompson, and in venture capital with Easton Hunt Capital Partners. John earned his MBA from Columbia Business School.
